Our history
The company is currently managed solely by Aponte family, of Sorrento origin and of ancient maritime tradition, dating back to the 17th-18th century.
The recent history of the company began in 1953 with motor ships Italy and Linda, and then with the Santa Teresa, the Saint Lucia Luntana, the Santa Maria del Mare, the Saint Rita, The Pula and, even later, with the M/N Patricians” and Mergellina.
The company was born in 1981. NLG – Navigazione Libera del Golfo S.r.l., and a profound corporate and fleet transformation began.

In rapid succession, modern single hulls with water jet propulsion were purchased, which gradually replaced the old motor ships: the Capri Jet in 1988, the Sorrento Jet in 1990, the Naples Jet in 1991, the Amalfi Jet in 1993 and the Ischia Jet in 1995.
To these were added, in 1999, the Super Jet, modern and fast HSC single hull capable of carrying 580 passengers.
Leadership in the sectors of expertise was now assured, but the phase of strengthening the fleet did not stop: in 2003 the Vesuvius Jet and the Tremiti Jet, very fast HSC single hulls, electronically stabilized and capable of carrying 440 passengers, at a speed of 35 knots, even in the least favorable weather and sea conditions.
In 2006 the Salerno Jet, of similar characteristics, for the further strengthening of the services that the company carries out in the Gulf of Salerno.
In 2007 the Picasso, which made it possible to expand the activity carried out for the Tremiti Islands also to the Gargano ports (Rodi Garganico and Capojale)
